Stoneground - Stoneground (1971 WB)

This Californian band was a part of bigger "The Medicine Ball Caravan" tour. A quite big group of young and free musicians toured America in 1970 keeping concerts in many places and living in tiipees. Stoneground concists of the members of this happening. The music is mainly West Coast rock. Decent. Apart from the voice of the occasional female singer.

Mason Proffit - Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream (1971 Ampex)

Very listenable country rock. CSN&Y with a flavour of Byrds and Grateful Dead. Isn't that something?

Frummox Here To There (1969 Probe)

You find a very nice real life story concerning Frummox behind this link:

Freedom - Freedom (1970 ABC)

Freedom is very good hard blues rock. The Guitarist even cooks up his own riffs. This green plant is free to grow by its own grow how.

Billy Mysner - Same (1973 Grit Records 2001)

Californian psych rock made in Canada. Very nice singer songwriter stuff. This album is one of those one can't understand why it isn't better known.

Mandrill - Just Outside Of Town (1973 Polydor)

Afrikus Retrospectus is a masterpiece of psyckhedelic funk. I have never heard anything like it before and after. Extremely enjoyable piece of eternal sound of mankind. It is not full of anything but full of room and full of all that is needed.

Emitt Rhodes - Emitt Rhodes (1970 Dunhill)

Beatles influenced poprock from US. This could be McCartney's solo as well. Even Emitt's voice sounds like Paul's. The album is full of excellent pieces. Worth digging up.

Pan - Pan (1973 CBS)

Quite nice acoustic West-Coast folkrock. I'd not say this is a lost gem but at leats it is a hidden pearl. Anyway this could have come more known through better luck and maybe more effots on marketing. If this is on CD know, I recommend on buying.
